There is a number of old castles and fortified palaces all over Ukraine, especially in its western part, and you will need a lot of time to see them all. Since 2017, in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi located in the Khmelnytsky region, you can do it in half an hour.

Korets is a small town with a population of about 7,200 people located in the southeast of the Rivne region, about 68 km east of Rivne. It is included in the list of historical towns of Ukraine.

The Golden Gate of Kyiv

“The Golden Gate” (1018-1024), the main gate of old Kyiv, is a monument of defense architecture and one of the oldest buildings of Eastern Europe, one of the symbols of the capital of Ukraine. The gate was named by analogy with the Golden Gate in Constantinople.

This building remained the gateway to Kyiv until the 18th century, although over time it fell into disrepair. In 1832, the first measures were taken to preserve the Golden Gate. In 1982, to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv, the Golden Gate was completely reconstructed. In 2007, the latest reconstruction was completed. The Golden Gate of Kyiv on Google Maps. Peizazhna Alley is a recreation area in Kyiv created on the site of the old defense walls of the Upper Town. In 2009, Children Landscape Park was opened here – one of the most impressive and unusual places in the city. It is a great place for both kids and adults where you can take a lot of nice pictures.

Church of St. Nicholas in Lazarivka

Lazarivka is a village with a population of about 500 people located in the Monastyryska district of the Ternopil region, about 100 km southwest of Ternopil.

Muzhyliv is a village with a population of about 1,200 people located in the the Pidhaitsi district of the Ternopil region, about 63 km southwest of Ternopil.
