Pidhaitsi is a small town with a population of about 2,700 people located in the Ternopil region of Ukraine, 68 km south-west of Ternopil. This town, first mentioned in 1463, has a rich history.

Spring in Kharkiv – after a heavy snowfall

Kharkiv is the second most populated city in Ukraine (about 1.5 million people) located in the north-eastern part of the country.

In the first days of March, a sudden heavy snowfall hit Kharkiv. Let’s walk through the streets of the city and see how it looks in the first week of calendar spring. Photos by: gatta_bianka.

Assumption Cathedral (1771-1777) – a tall and slender church constructed in the style of the Ukrainian Baroque. The belfry with chimes is the tallest building in Kharkiv (89 meters).

Bridges over the Dnieper River in Kyiv

Kyiv, the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, is located in the north of the central part of the country, on the banks of the Dnieper River.

Mukachevo – walk through the town center

Mukachevo is a town with a population of about 86,000 people located in the central part of the Zakarpattia region, 41 km south-east of Uzhhorod.

The town has a high tourist potential for both Ukrainian tourists and foreigners. Ukrainians like to come here to visit the Palanok Castle, St. Nicholas Convent, as well as the town center with its paved streets and cozy cafes. Photos by: Igor Golovach.

Berehove is a small town with a population of about 24 thousand people located in the south-west of the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine, 69 km from Uzhhorod by road, near the border with Hungary.

This town is the main center of Hungarian culture in Zakarpattia, the Hungarians make up about half of the town’s population. Provincial Towns of Ukraine – Lebedyn

Lebedyn is a small town with a population of about 26 thousand people located in the Sumy region, 50 km south-west of the city of Sumy.

It was founded as a stronghold of the Belgorod fortified line on the Olshanka River in 1653 and originally was a fort with 12 wooden towers, the settlement around the fort appeared in 1654. Photos by: gatta_bianka.

Vynohradiv (until 1946 – Sevlush) is a small town with a population of about 27,000 people located in the southern part of the Zakarpattia region, 94 km southeast of Uzhhorod.
