Aerial views of Kharkiv – the largest city in northeastern Ukraine

Kharkiv is the second most populous city in Ukraine, one of the eight most populated cities in Eastern Europe. The city was the third largest industrial, scientific and transport center of the Soviet Union after Moscow and Leningrad.

In the second half of the 20th century, it became the main transport hub of South-Eastern Europe. Let’s take a look at some of the local sights from above. Photos by: Oleg Stelmakh.
