Parade of Trams in Kyiv

On Saturday, June 17, 2017, in Kyiv, a parade of trams was held, timed to the 125th anniversary of the city electric tram.

In the heart of the historic neighborhood of Podil, on Contract Square, more than 20 models of trams were shown – from retro trams to the latest models, as well as special equipment. Photos by: Igor Golovach.

Nyzhankovychi is an urban village with a population of about 1,800 people located in the Starosamborsk district of the Lviv region, on the border of Ukraine and Poland.

On the territory of the former estate there is the Nyzhankovychi professional lyceum, where boys are taught woodworking and machine-building, and girls – hairdressing. In the middle of the estate garden you can see a beautiful building originally used as a library of the lyceum.

Colorful summer in the center of Kharkiv

Kharkiv, known as an industrial city, has a lot of places to relax. In the warm season, one of the favorite places of locals and guests of the city is the public garden “Strelka” located at the confluence of two rivers – Kharkiv and Lopan.

According to the legend, the city was originally founded here. In this public garden there is a new pedestrian bridge over the Kharkiv River, which has become a traditional place for wedding photo shoots, and a boat station. Photos by: gatta_bianka.

Center of Kyiv – the view from above

Kyiv, the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, is located on the banks of the Dnieper River, in the north of the central part of the country. Due to its importance as the historical center of the Old Russian state, the city is often called “the mother of Russian cities”.

Floating Flower Beds in Kharkiv

The resort city of Berdyansk in early summer

Berdyansk, a city with a population of about 114 thousand people in the Zaporozhye region, is a marine, climatic and mud resort of national importance.

It is located on the eastern shore of the Berdyansk Bay in the northern part of the Azov Sea. The water in this part of the Azov Sea remains warm until late autumn. There are no sharp temperature swings, as in the Black Sea. Photos by: Alexey Novik.

​Kyiv Sea – the view from above

The Kyiv Reservoir (also known as the Kyiv Sea) is a large reservoir on the Dnieper River located north of Kyiv, near the town of Vyshhorod.

The area of the reservoir is 922 square km., the water volume – 3.73 cubic km., the largest width – 12 km, the greatest depth – 15 m near the dam, the average depth – about 4 m.

On the left you can see Vyshhorod, in the center – the dam of Kiev Hydroelectric Station.

Komarno is a small town with a population of about 7 thousand people located in the south-western part of the Lviv region, 45 km from Lviv.
