Vyshyvanka Day in Mariupol

The World Vyshyvanka Day is an international holiday celebrated to preserve the original folk traditions of making and wearing vyshyvanka – an embroidered shirt in Ukrainian national costume.
The holiday is held annually on the third Thursday of May. On this day everyone can join the holiday by wearing vyshyvanka for work, a university, a school, or even a kindergarten. One week before Orthodox Easter, in Kyiv, the 7th All-Ukrainian Festival of Easter Eggs (Pysanky) began. The event is held in three locations in the city center – St. Sophia and St. Michael squares, as well as Volodymyr Passage.

Aviation festival at the airport “Korotych”

August 27-28, 2016, Ukrainian Aviation Day was celebrated at the airfield “Korotych” located near Kharkiv.
Two days in a row the best pilots of Ukraine showed their skills. You could see more than 10 types of small aircraft (Yak-52, Yak-18T, HAZ-30, AN-2, Su-31, AN-28, Po-2), as well as a helicopter Alouette and the only Ukrainian pair of aerobatic helicopters MI-2.
