Komarno is a small district town located in the southwestern part of Lviv region. The distance to Lviv is about 45 km.
The town is known for its old wooden church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in 1754. It is one of the finest examples of Galician folk architecture school. The photos were taken by Maxim Ritus.
The church underwent several renovations. The last renovation was carried out under the direction of the architect I. Mogitich in 1965-1967. It returned the church its original look.
The interior with the monumental painting of the 18th century still needs a major restoration. Nearby, there is a stone church of St. Michael the Archangel (1910).
