“Color Run 2015” in Kyiv

August 30, 2015, the so-called “Color Run” was held in Kyiv, for the second time in Ukraine. This unique festival of running and paints was organized by “KM Running club” together with the charitable foundation “SportforPeace.”

More than 700 participants came to run a distance of 3 or 6 km. The entire route was painted in bright Holly colors brought from India, specially for the festival. It was actually a very colorful event!

Flying over Buki landscape park

Let’s fly over a beautiful landscape park located in the village of Buki in Kiev region, about 110 km south-west of Kiev.

The park was founded by the local entrepreneur Ivan Suslov in 1996. Thousands of tourists come here to enjoy the beautiful countryside and views.

Let’s fly over Kharkiv city

Kharkiv is the largest city in the north-east of Ukraine, the second most populous city in the country. It was the third largest industrial, scientific and transport center in the Soviet Union after Moscow and Leningrad.

In the second half of the 20th century, it became the main transport hub of South-Eastern Europe.

Light show at Sophia Square in Kyiv

April 4, 2015, on the facade of St. Sophia’s Cathedral in Kyiv, you could see a unique show – light performance “I – Dream” commemorating the opening of the 12th “French Spring in Ukraine.”

“French Spring in Ukraine” includes an extensive cultural program on the whole territory of Ukraine, strengthening Franco-Ukrainian relations and cooperation.

Let’s fly over beautiful Lviv city

Lviv is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ukraine. The historic center of the city is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lviv has the largest number of architectural monuments in the country. Let’s take a look at Lviv sights from above.

Castles of Zakarpattia region have a special place in the list of attractions of Ukraine. They were built at different times by different rulers and peoples. Scattered in time, the castles are united by a common geography and purpose.

Today, there are more than a dozen castles in the region. Let’s fly over the two of them – Mukachevo castle “Palanok” (in Mukachevo) and Nevitsky castle (12 km north-east of Uzhgorod).

Let’s fly over abandoned Pripyat city

Pripyat is a ghost town located in northern Ukraine, in Kiev region. It is standing on the banks of the Pripyat River, 5 km from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, near the border with Belarus, at a distance of 94 km from Kiev.

Let’s fly over Kharkiv region

Kharkiv oblast, the fourth largest region of Ukraine, is located in the northeast of the country. Steppe occupies most of the territory of the region.

Today, steppe in its original form survived almost nowhere in the region. It is plowed up under endless fields of wheat, corn, sunflower, sugar beet and other crops. Kharkiv region produces about 5% of the gross agricultural output of Ukraine.
