The center of Ivano-Frankivsk is rich in various, differently decorated, cafes and restaurants. Some are decorated in the traditional rustic style, some even in the military or nationalistic style.

Usually, they have a lot of antiques, which makes them similar to restaurants in other cities in Eastern Europe. Let’s go to a restaurant called “Svitlytsya Muliarova” located at Chornovola Street, 5. Photos by: deletant.

The restaurant is decorated in the style of the late 19th – early 20th century. You are met by a wooden hanging rack at the entrance.

This wonderful landscape park was founded in the village of Buky in 1996. The village is located in Skvirsky district of the Kyiv region, approximately 110 km from Kyiv.

It all started when a local entrepreneur Ivan Suslov bought 2.7 hectares of land which was used as a dump. It cost him only 20 thousand USD. He was able to turn this land into a beautiful landscape park. It attracts thousands of tourists who come here to admire the beautiful countryside. Photos by: Igor Golovach.

According to local residents, the owner of the “river tram” is a former chief of waterways. One day, he decided to build a floating dacha and bought a couple of pontoons.

Not far from Kyiv, in the middle of the lake, on a small island in the thickets of trees, you can find a small wooden house. This artificial island was created in the 1970s, and was called “Love Island.”

The house was built later, around 1985, and was called “The House of Hunting and Fishing.” It was used as a place to exhibit hunting trophies. Today, the house is abandoned and the island is popular with local fishermen. Photos by: Richard Zorge.

“Kievan Rus Park” is a center of culture and history, located to the south of Kiev, which recreates the science-based architectural image of ancient Kiev and the atmosphere of ancient Russia of the 5th-13th centuries.

It is a great place for historical reenactments.
