Kyiv is the capital and largest city of Ukraine located in the north of the central part of the country, on the Dnieper River. This is the seventh most populous city in Europe after Moscow, Istanbul, London, St. Petersburg, Berlin, and Madrid.
Due to its importance as a historical center of ancient Rus, Kyiv is often called the “mother of Russian towns.” The city is rich in monuments of culture and art, a lot of them are located in the city center. Photos by: maxiwell83.
