Second Oldest Wooden Catholic Church in Ukraine

Radenychi is a village with a population of about 1,100 people located in the west of the Lviv region, 77 km from Lviv.

On the territory of the village there is the second oldest wooden Catholic church in Ukraine – the Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary built in 1754. Radenychi on Google Maps. Photos by: Maxim Ritus.

In 1956, the church was closed, the building was used as a warehouse for mineral fertilizers. In 1989, the church was returned to believers.
