Golden autumn in Ukraine

In Ukraine, it is the midst of the so-called “golden autumn” now. It is a relatively short time of the year when the trees already have a characteristic yellow-red autumn color and the weather is still sunny and clear. A great time for landscape photography!

This beautiful photo was taken near the village of Gineevka located to the south of Kharkov, the capital city of Kharkov region. Photo by Sergey Stepanenko

Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) is the central square of Kyiv. In January and February 2014, it was the place of armed clashes between security forces and Euromaidan activists which led to the change of power and the formation of a new Ukrainian government.

And this is how this place looks a few months later. The barricades and tents have been removed and the square looks almost the same as it was before these historical events. Photos by Oleg Stelmakh

The views of Lviv from the City Hall

At first glance, the tower of Lviv City Hall doesn’t look very promising in terms of city views it can offer.

But after you’ve climbed the tower (the height is 65 meters), you realize that it is worth it. Photos by horoshiyblog
