The church of St Yur located in Drohobych (Lviv oblast) is considered the pearl of Ukrainian wooden architecture. Today it is a museum located not far away from the center of the city. The photos were captured by Serge Krynytsia.

The 25th anniversary of Chernobyl nuclear disaster

Today the world is marking the 25th anniversary of the worst nuclear accident in history happened in Chernobyl. Press photographer Igor Kostin was the first professional press photographer who began to work at the accident site at Chernobyl.
Igor Kostin captured more than five thousand photographs of the Chernobyl disaster and its aftermath. He received more than five maximum allowable doses of radiation. Here are several of his works.

Graffiti-covered abandoned museum of Sevastopol

The following place is located almost in the center of Sevastopol city. The construction of the museum devoted to Sevastopol defense of 1941-1942 was not finished and the building was abandoned.
Today it is becoming one of the attractions of the city because of numerous graffiti covering the walls. The photos were captured by aquatek-filips.

Hopak is Ukrainian national dance. The name is coming from the Ukrainian “hop” – exclamation uttered during the dance. People are dancing hopak in Ukrainian folk costumes. It is very energetic dance, the basic movements include the running, wide and high jumps with flapping feet.
