Church of St. Basil in Likitsary

Likitsary is a small highland village of less than 50 residents located in the west of Zakarpattia Oblast, about 45 km northeast of Uzhhorod.

The main local attraction is the wooden Church of St. Basil, an architectural monument of national importance. The church was built of spruce beams in the 17th century. It acquired its current form after the reconstruction made in 1748. Likitsary on Google Maps. Photos by: Maxim Ritus.
