Church of St. Basil the Great in Cherche

Cherche is a village with a population of about 1,100 people located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, about 65 km north of Ivano-Frankivsk. The main attraction of the village is the wooden Church of St. Basil the Great, an architectural monument of national importance.

Church of the Holy Spirit in Rohatyn

Rohatyn is a small town with a population of about 8,000 people located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, about 60 km north of Ivano-Frankivsk. This town is considered one of the historic places of Ukraine.

Synyak (1,665 m) is a mountain with steep slopes in Gorgany, a system of mountain ranges in the outer strip of the Ukrainian Carpathians. This mountain is located within the Carpathian National Natural Park, in the Nadvirna district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Mount Synyak is a popular destination for hiking trails on weekends. From its top you can see the adjacent ridges. It also offers a magnificent panorama of the ski resort of Bukovel, as well as a view of the highest range of the Ukrainian Carpathians – Chornohora, with the mountains of Hoverla (2,061 m) and Petros (2,020 m). Manyavsky Holy Cross Exaltation Monastery

Maniavskyi Skyt (1611-1621) is an Orthodox monastery located in the village of Manyava, about 50 km south-west of Ivano-Frankivsk, an important center of spirituality, culture and art of Ukraine.

The Church of the Nativity of Christ, a monument of architecture of national importance, stands in the center of Halych, a historic town located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, about 25 km north of Ivano-Frankivsk. The exact date of the construction of the church is unknown.

Church of St. Panteleymon in Shevchenkove

Shevchenkove is a very small village with a population of about 150 people located in the Halych district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, 28 km north of Ivano-Frankivsk.
Here you can find remains of old defensive ramparts and a unique architectural monument of national importance – Church of St. Panteleymon (1194), the oldest church in Western Ukraine.

In the center of Old Halych, the capital of Galicia, in Krylos

When it comes to Old Halych, the capital of Galicia, and later the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia, we mean not the present town of Halych, but the village of Krylos located southwest of it, in the Halych district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The Ukrainian Carpathians are part of the Carpathian mountain system located in western Ukraine, mainly on the territory of the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi regions, with a total area of about 24 thousand square kilometers.
The absolute heights of this picturesque mountain system range from 120-400 meters at the foot of the mountains to 500-800 meters in intermontane depressions and 1,500-2,000 meters along the main ridges.
