Monastery of St. Nicholas in Krekhiv

Krekhiv is a village with a population of about 800 people located in the Zhovkva district of the Lviv region, 35 km north-west of Lviv.

Despite the fact that Zhovkva, located near the city of Lviv, is a very small town, it is rich in interesting monuments of architecture.

Volodymyr-Volynskyi is a town with a population of about 39,000 people located in the south-western part of the Volyn region. This town, first mentioned in chronicles in 988, is one of the oldest towns of Kievan Rus.

Mukachevo – walk through the town center

Mukachevo is a town with a population of about 86,000 people located in the central part of the Zakarpattia region, 41 km south-east of Uzhhorod.

The former estate of Sharivka, located in the south-west of the Kharkiv region on the bank of the Merchyk River, is one of the most beautiful palace and park complexes in Ukraine.

Greek Catholic Monastery in Krekhiv

Krekhiv monastery of St. Nicholas Fathers Basilian, founded in 1612, is located in the village of Krekhiv in the Zholkovsky district of the Lviv region, about 40 km north-west of Lviv.

The monastery ensemble is a monument of architecture of national importance of the 17th-18th centuries. The walled area of the monastery has the shape of an irregular pentagon.
