The historical and cultural complex “Castle Radomysl” is a private museum complex located in the town of Radomyshl in the Zhytomyr region, about 100 km from Kiev. It was created by the Ukrainian medical doctor Olga Bogomolets.

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Uzhgorod is an open air museum, consisting of architectural monuments of old Transcarpathian villages, and examples of the oldest and most common forms of folk arts and crafts.
The museum, opened to the public in June 1970, covers an area of four hectares. It is located near the territory of Uzhgorod castle (Kapitulna Street, 33/a).

The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv is a memorial complex located on the slopes of the right bank of the Dnieper River on the outskirts of Pechersk, one of the historic districts of the city.
This is one of the largest museums in Ukraine (over 300 thousand exhibits). The museum is most associated with the 102-meter monument to Motherland, which became one of the most recognizable views of Kyiv. Over the years, the museum has been visited by more than 21 million visitors.

Museum-Reserve “The Battle for Kyiv in 1943”

Seventy years ago, during the Second World War, the territory around Kyiv was the place of the “Battle for the Dnieper” – one of the largest battles in world history (750 km front, 4 million people).
As a result, the German troops were forced to retreat, and Kyiv was liberated on November 6, 1943. A trip to the salt mines in Soledar

The complex of depleted salt mines of enterprise “Artemsol” is open to tourists. The mines are located in a small town of Soledar in Donetsk region. The first salt mine was opened in 1881.
After more than a hundred years, unique system of underground workings with a total length of over 200 km appeared. At a depth of 300 meters, you can find unique sanatorium “Salt Symphony” treating respiratory diseases.

The State Aviation Museum of Ukraine (Zhulyany) was opened in 2003. Today, this museum located in Kiev is the largest history and technology museum in the country. The exposure of the museum has nearly 70 planes and helicopters.
Of additional interest is the fact that the museum is located very close to the airport “Kiev” (Zhulyany), the runway lies only about 100 meters away behind a transparent wall. Photos by Valentin Rukomoynikov

Unique military museum “Object “The Rock”

In Korosten, small Ukrainian town located in Zhitomir region, there is a unique museum – a military bunker in the granite rock. It is called the “Museum “Object “The Rock”. This bunker was constructed on the basis of existing caves. The bunker has several floors, but only the second floor is open to the public.
The length of underground tunnels is more than 150 meters. The command center has its own water supply and ventilation systems. The complex was constructed in 1930ies. Photos by maxiwell83

Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnieper is an open air museum, located on the outskirts of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky town (about 100 km from Kiev).
The museum presents a Ukrainian village of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, as well as buildings and monuments since the late Paleolithic period to the times of Kievan Rus. Thirteen thematic museums can be found on the territory of 30 hectares. Photos by Kirill Vyazankin

The exhibition of “Chernobyl” museum located in Kiev is about the largest in the history of nuclear power accident – the accident at the fourth unit of Chernobyl nuclear power plant (Pripyat city) happened in April 1986.
The museum has the collection of about 7,000 exhibits – declassified documents, maps, photographs, objects of ethnic culture, personal belongings of people participated in liquidation of the disaster.
