Chris P asks: Is any employment for people in Kiev, I have a friend who is a hair dresser and she said she is having difficulty finding a job!

Our usual advice is not to send any help to a person in Ukraine, before you are absolutely sure that this person is real. At least regular talk to this person directly via something like Skype, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. with a webcam turned on. A real person can afford to get a cheap smartphone/notebook. If a person refuses under one pretext or another, it is better to stop further communication.
Sufyan Ahmed asks: I have planned to complete my master in computer science from national university "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava". After completing my degree can I be able to work there properly with a work permit and it is easy to get permanent residence? For this purpose we need to come back to our country to apply for a residence permit?
Expert's answer:
You can find official info about different ways of getting a
Ukrainian temporary residence permit on the site of the Migration Service of Ukraine. If you manage to find an employer in Ukraine interested in your services, you will be able to return to the country after graduation on a legal basis (a long-term working visa, which in turn gives the right to get a temporary residence permit).
Roae asks: Hi I'm a medstudent. I'm studying in my Uzhorod national medical university Ukraine. I'm from India can I do any part time jobs in Uzhorod, Ukraine
Expert's answer:
Ukraine doesn't have any law banning foreign students from working, so it is possible to do it as a foreign student.
But in practice it is not an easy task to get a job in Ukraine legally as an international student because at first you will have to find an employer interested in hiring you and this company will send an official request to issue a work permit for you. Until you can speak Ukrainian or Russian, it will be difficult to find a job too. Check this list of
jobs offered to students in Uzhhorod.
Santosh Nair asks: Can I stay in Ukraine after my studies?
Expert's answer:
Shortly after graduation, your temporary residence permit will expire. You can get a new one by obtaining a work permit, however this won't be an easy task (will still have to leave Ukraine and enter it again). So you should try to find an employer interested in your services during your studies. Another way to obtain a temporary residence permit and after two years a permanent residence permit is to marry a citizen of Ukraine.

Each city has its pros and cons. The cost of living in Kyiv is higher than in Kharkiv (about 20-25%), the ecological situation in Kyiv is worse than in Kharkiv. In general, Kyiv is more crowded, noisy, and active, which is natural for the capital of the country. But, at the same time, in Kyiv, there are much more prospects for work, leisure, dating, etc.

Expert's answer:
As a foreign student you will have a temporary residence permit. It will allow you to get a work permit, which is required to work legally in Ukraine. But to get it, at first, you have to find an employer interested in your services and this company should help you to get this work permit. And this is the most difficult part.
The documents for obtaining it are submitted to the employment center at the employer's location. The decision is made within 7 days, after it the center notifies the employer of it. The average salary in Ukraine is about 300-400 USD per month for a full time job, so it won't be an easy task to earn more as a student with a part time job.

There is no such thing as a working visa. Professional athletes and artists don't need employment permits to work in Ukraine. So in your case no additional Ukrainian documents are required.
