Podillya is a historical and geographical region located in the west and south-west of Ukraine, in the area of the northern tributaries of the middle Dniester and the upper Southern Buh.
Podillya covers several regions of present Ukraine with such cities as Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia.

Wooden Church of St. Nicholas in Sapohiv

Sapohiv is a small village with a population of about 800 people located in the central part of Borshchiv district in the Ternopil region. For the first time the village was mentioned in 1564.

Church of St. Nicholas (1470) in the village of Kolodne in Tyachiv district of the Zakarpattia region is the oldest monument of wooden church building in Ukraine.
The church stands on a small hill in the village center, near the intersection of the main street and a mountain stream.

The Historical and Cultural Complex “Zaporizhia Sich”, located in the north-east of the island of Khortytsia in Zaporizhia, is a reconstruction of the Cossack fortress of the 16th-18th centuries, recreating the image of the Cossack capital and the atmosphere of the time.

The monument to Darth Vader was unveiled in Odessa

In Odessa, on the territory of the plant “Pressmash”, the world’s first monument to Darth Vader was unveiled. The author of the monument is the local artist Alexander Milov.
The opening ceremony of the monument was attended by the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet himself. He was accompanied by Chewbacca and imperial stormtroopers. Photos by: dumskaya.net

The churches of Kozelets – Ukrainian cultural heritage

Kozelets is an urban village with a population of about 8,300 people located in the Chernihiv region, on the banks of the Oster River, 67 km south of Chernihiv. The highway from Kyiv to Chernihiv passes through the village.
Here you can find several interesting monuments belonging to Ukrainian cultural heritage – churches, built in the 18th-19th centuries. Photos by: camrador.
Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin (1762-1763). It is a unique monument, which combines elements of Ukrainian and Rastrelli baroque.

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Uzhgorod is an open air museum, consisting of architectural monuments of old Transcarpathian villages, and examples of the oldest and most common forms of folk arts and crafts.
The museum, opened to the public in June 1970, covers an area of four hectares. It is located near the territory of Uzhgorod castle (Kapitulna Street, 33/a).

The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv is a memorial complex located on the slopes of the right bank of the Dnieper River on the outskirts of Pechersk, one of the historic districts of the city.
This is one of the largest museums in Ukraine (over 300 thousand exhibits). The museum is most associated with the 102-meter monument to Motherland, which became one of the most recognizable views of Kyiv. Over the years, the museum has been visited by more than 21 million visitors.
